چکیده
This paper describes a novel approach designed for non-invasive, routine screening of patients cardiovascular disorders without the complexities using an electrocardiogram or invasive probes. Specifically, oscillographic-view brachial artery blood pressure waveform, including dicrotic notch, is extracted from information in pulsations ordinary cuff. The novelty this that total continuous shape not just two numbers pressures, generated. A computer algorithm processes cuff and provides near real-time visual estimate waveform to be viewed on oscilloscopes commonly used hospitals medical clinics. model-based Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) process identify coefficients Fourier transform model empirical stiffness. By viewing variations during series pulse cycles can observed easily recognized. Simulations two-case studies demonstrate successful convergence variety arrhythmia, changing systolic diastolic levels, stiff arteries. Experimental verification proposed procedure will require measurements while simultaneously processing non-invasive comparisons. Once verified experimentally, end goal use with known diseases order create database correlated specific diseases.

متن کاملMonitoring Hydraulic Fractures: State Estimation using an Extended Kalman Filter
There is considerable interest in using remote elastostatic deformations to identify the evolving geometry of underground fractures that are forced to propagate by the injection of a high pressure viscous fluid. These so-called hydraulic fractures are used to increase the permeability in oil and gas reservoirs as well as to pre-fracture ore-bodies in preparation for a mining process known as bl...
متن کاملMonitoring processes using sensor networks and an extended Kalman filter
Two main difficulties in process monitoring are lack of reliable measurements of key process variables and difficulty in defining quantitative relationships between state variables. In this study sensor networks are used to demonstrate an approach based on Kalman filtering to model the specific monitoring systems. Kalman filtering at both local nodes and fusion center are the covariance matrice...
